Drain the canned white beans thoroughly and pour into a medium mixing bowl. Mash thoroughly with a potato masher or fork until it is mashed, but there may be small pieces left.
Finely chop the spring onions and garlic. Add the other ingredients to the mashed beans: chopped onion and garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, smoked paprika, curry, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, ground cumin, oatmeal flour and oatmeal flakes.
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly to obtain a homogeneous, malleable mass. Form into about 2 equal scones. Leave the scones to rest for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavours to blend and the oatmeal to absorb the moisture.
Frying: Heat a frying pan or griddle over a medium heat. Place the scones on top and fry both sides until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
Serve immediately, fresh, in a burger patty or on a bed of lettuce, with any toppings and sauces.
